Becoming a Python n00b

During the summer of 2018 I made a commitment to myself to work through a series of online computer science courses.  Here is a list of courses that I’ve taken or plan to take.

  • Computing in Python I:  Findamentals and Procedural Programming
  • Computing in Python II: Control Structures
    • Georgia Institute of Technology via edX
    • Final Grade: In progress
  • Computing in Python III: Data Structures
    • Georgia Institute of Technology via edX
    • Final Grade: Not Yet Started
  • Computing in Python IV: Objects & Algorithms
    • Georgia Institute of Technology via edX
    • Final Grade: Not Yet Started
  • Python for Security Professionals

My wife thinks it’s strange that I’m taking Python classes at the same time that I’m studying for the CEH & CISSP exams.  I can see how that might seem weird, but I honestly really enjoy the programming classes.  I already understand the CISSP content fairly well so it’s brute force memorization at this point and the Python work makes for a nice break.
